Mastery of Anterior Provisional Restorations
 CE In A Box Option

Provisional restorations are more than temporary placeholders — they serve as critical diagnostic, functional, and esthetic tools in modern dentistry. This mastery program equips dental assistants and clinical team members with advanced skills to fabricate, trim, contour, and polish both anterior and posterior provisionals with confidence. Participants will learn the essential techniques that ensure provisionals meet patient comfort, esthetic expectations, and functional demands, preparing them to become indispensable chairside partners.

Course Lessons

01 CE in a Box®: Anterior Provisionals Hands-On Training

The Anterior Provisionals CE in a Box® kit is designed to give dental assistants a complete, step-by-step hands-on experience in fabricating, trimming, and finishing anterior provisionals with precision and esthetics. This interactive course combines guided learning with practical exercises, allowing participants to build confidence in one of the most important chairside skills: creating provisionals that look and feel like natural teeth. With all materials provided in the box, participants can practice independently, in small groups, or as part of a larger training program. Each exercise focuses on the critical elements of anterior provisional success: margins, embrasures, incisal edges, occlusion, and polish.

02 Live Anterior Provisionals Training

During this live Zoom session, participants will follow a real-time, step-by-step demonstration on fabricating and refining anterior provisionals with esthetic precision and functional accuracy. We will begin by reviewing the necessary materials and matrices, including bis-acrylics, putty shells, and polishing systems, followed by live demonstration of tooth preparation, provisional shaping, marginal adaptation, contouring, and shade refinement. Each critical step—emergence profile, incisal edge alignment, embrasure design, and surface texture—will be shown up close with opportunities for questions and clarification. Troubleshooting tips will be integrated throughout, including managing fractures, open margins, contact loss, or midline discrepancies. Attendees are encouraged to practice alongside using typodonts or clinical models, ensuring an interactive, hands-on learning environment. By the end of the session, participants will gain the confidence to create anterior provisionals that are not just temporaries, but true prototypes of the final smile.
